Doncaster based Colbear has won a prestigious international award at the Doncaster Chamber of Commerce 2006 Business Awards.
The agency won the International Trade Award, sponsored by the Royal Bank of Scotland, which recognises the business that has best demonstrated an ability to maximise opportunities to exploit and develop new markets leading to growth, job creation and the increased prosperity of the area.
Colbear won the award for its work across Europe and American through a global marketing network which enables it to deliver effective and relevant campaigns outside of the UK. Managing director Scott Colbear explains: "We originally became part of the global network to enable us to handle European and American campaigns for our client Case Tractors.
"Since then we have successfully implemented and managed a number of international initiatives including a European direct mail and public relations campaign for American company, Viking Sprinkler Systems, a European brochure for Continental Tyres, an international telephone marketing campaign for Cosalt and a 48 sheet poster campaign on the London Underground for the Spanish Tourist Board."
Cobear's other international clients include McCormick Tractors, Fellowes Office Products and Trelleborg Industries.
Scott concluded: "Working in partnership with agencies across Europe and America has enabled us not only to share artwork on an international level to reduce clients' costs, but also to tap into essential services such as translation, photography and media information and perhaps most importantly of all, gain vital local knowledge and an understanding of cultural differences.
" We are delighted to have won this award at the most prestigious event on the South Yorkshire business calendar!"
